Tuesdays Treasures

I don't know that this is really a treasure
so much as a coincidence .
Many years ago we were given this tin of biscuits
by my husbands auntie who has since passed away
this year at the age of 93.
Almost 15 years ago I was co-ordinator of
the local playgroup and took this tin , empty of course ,
to have as a collection tin for funds etc .
My kids are in highschool now and
I had never given this tin another thought until
my son arrived home from a youth council meeting
where he was elected treasurer .
While he was at the meeting local council
members asked him to make a point of showing
his treasurers tin to his mum .
Yes , same tin !

Join in and show us your treasures !

How amazing is that. I can't believe that anyone else would have remembered that the tin originally from you.

What a lovely treasure Clare. That kitten is sooooooo cute! We used to have one similar when I was young. We kept our lego in it.

Love the story! I am assuming one of the council members remembered the tin came from you in the first place.

The kitty tin is obviously doing it's job well to still be around!

Lol, there's always a core group of people who are in councils, community groups etc like a big family. I bet there were a few cat fanciers who admired your "treasure tin" when you were co-ordinating playgroup and it amused them that your son chose the same tin, unknowingly. Nice of them to want to share their amusement with you :). It IS a nice tin, though.

Mum keeps photos in a cute tin with a kitten on it. It's as much a part of the family as the photos. :-)

Really a fantastic name give to the tin- Treasure. This tin bears a lot of memories and hence it was rightly compared as a treasure. It is indeed a treasure of memories. Thanks for the post.
