I heart vintage fabric

I've made a start on my Christmas stockings
using the chenille that I showed you in my last post .

and because I am tight  no stingy no frugal I have
been making very good use of the scraps
and making some little hearts filled with lavendar.
These smell so beautiful .

How are your Christmas preparations going ?

I am a chenille addict and this post made my heart beat a little bit faster. Bless your stingy ...err frugal heart . Those hearts are gorgeous.

My Christmas prep would be going great guns if I could find the motivation to quilt my Christmas quilt, I keep avoiding it by starting new quilts.

Not too well! After all my good intentions in Jnauary... oh well. I have planned out what I'm gonna make an for whom so I'm at least thinking about it. Your stockings are so funky, love that fabric.

love it all! What you call chenille we in England call Candlewick! I am a made collector of candlewick bedspreads!

My preparations consist of screaming loudly when the children say "Mum you know there are only 12 weeks to Christmas - what do you want for your birthday!" eeeekkkkkk
Your preparations are so much nicer and way more practical than mine!

Hello Clare,

Those hearts are beautiful. I am sure we had sheets like the ones you are using up as kids. They certainly had bright sheets back then.
Happy Christmas creating.

I keep adding it to my 'to-do' list and at the end of every week it's still there!
Great idea for the scraps.

I adore chenille. I don't think I'd be able to instigate a Ok This is So Small It's Getting Silly cut-off point for chenille scraps.
