Missing!

Here's the story - I received a phone call from the editor of one the craft magazines . "I would really like to publish your doll Daisy in a future edition , is that possible ?" Using my professional , efficient voice I reply" yes I will get everything together and get it off to you today" As I haven't done any work for this magazine before I really wanted to make a good impression so off I went to prepare my parcel .

Three hours later and a totally trashed studio, no Daisy!

She has vanished ! Should I call Missing Persons or the police ?

No , all I could do was call the editor and explain the truth . Don't worry I thought of all the stories in the world , fire , flood , the dog ate her but in the end with a lot of apologies the truth was told . The big shot designer (hah) had stuffed up and lost a project .Thank goodness the editor could see the funny side and has accepted another project from me .Very , very embarrassing!

Oh dear! Daisy is sure to turn up somewhere when you least expect it! Lucky craft mag editors are very understanding and accomodating!

I hope you will find her! Glad that at least you could use an alternative project for the magazine.

I'm sure Daisy is just hanging out somewhere warm about now, she is not exactly dressed for winter! Hope she turns up soon. Look forward to seeing what other project you have to share. Thanks for your encouragement.

Oh Clare. Surely the reward of telling the truth will be that Daisy turns up...

Glad the editor was understanding when you explained the situation to her. Now where on earth is that Daisy? I haven't seen her over here in Canada but I'll keep looking if you want me too....

Well....that story ended on a good note. Gald for you!! I was just telling my husband the other day "Why do I always lose things"? Oh I find them, I just can't remember where I put them.

Hi Clare,
oh, maybe one of your visitors couldn't resist Miss Daisy and popped her into their bag!
Never mind, now you submit another piece.
Hugs,
Anna

Just found your blog today--really love it. Daisy is probably hiding under the bed; she's probably a little shy. Look forward to following your posts.

Don't you just hate that. But bonus marks for having the wherewithall to go for the truth and not opt for the fire/plague/hell freezing scenarios...
