Hi and welcome to the Creative Challenge Link Party.

I have been very distracted lately and didn't get 

around to reminding the challengers

that the link was going up up today

so I do apologise and hope that their

heads are a lot more level than mine at the moment

and they remember that today is the day!

The next Creative Challenge won't be until May

so I look forward to more joining in then .

Are you up for a creative challenge?

Well you have come to the right place.

Just in case you don't know what

the creative challenge is ~

* not a competition

* a fun way to reinvigorate your creativity

* a new way share your creation with like minded crafters

* a chance make some new friends

How it works ~

Firstly you comment on this post.

Next you must email me.

When the signups close I will then send you ~

a colour and a random picture.

From these clues you create something using whatever medium

you prefer it can be fabric, paint, glue, beads anything!

Write up a blog post but don't publish it yet.

At the completion of the challenge I will add a linky thing here.

You add your link to show what you've created.

Welcome to the first Creative Challenge of 2015!

I may have started this one a bit early for the

start of the year as we only had two signups

but the ones that have accepted the challenge

are phenomenal!

 

I hope you can visit these and see how

creative they have been with their clues.

 

The next challenge sign up will be at the

beginning of March so I maybe you'd like to join in then.

 

 

are you ready for a creative challenge?

 

The new year festivities are over and the kids are back at school,

are you wondering how to get back into the swing of crafting?

I'm so glad you asked because I have the answer for you!

 

 A whole lot of crafters joined in here for a creative challenge last year

and had so much fun I thought we may need to do it again.

 

It's really easy.

All you need to do is leave a comment here and then send me

an email saying "yes please I'm in"

When the signups are closed I then reply to your email

and include a random picture and a colour.

You use these hints to create something , anything!

You interpret the hints however you like.

You may use any medium you like be it fabric, paper, paint

beads, clay anything!

 

You have 2 weeks to complete your challenge.

You write a blog post showing your creativity.

When the two weeks is up I post a linky thing here.

You link your blog post to the linky thing.

Millions of curious crafters go to visit your blog

and are astounded at your awesomeness.

 

Doesn't this sound like fun!

Here we go with the second Creative Challenge!

This time we had over 60 players sign up so

here's hoping we have a lot of them link up

to show you their creativity!

 

If you are wondering what all this is about ~

bloggers sign up and then I send them a random

colour and picture.

It is up to them then to use these clues to create something

using any medium they wish.

 

The next challenge won't be until February so I

hope you'll join in then!

For those who missed seeing about the first

Creative Challenge

we are going to have another before

we all get crazy, busy at Christmas, hooray!

 

How the challenge works ~

you must email me at clarescraftroom@hotmail.com

This part is very important as I need to have your email

address to send your clues to.

 

When I receive your email I will then send you a random

picture and a random colour.

Use these as inspiration to design something.

It can be anything and you can use whatever

medium you like eg. fabric, glue, paint, beads, anything at all!

 

Get a blog post ready showing the pictures I sent you

and your finished design.

When the linkie thingy goes up here add your link

and visit the other challengers to see what they have done.

 

Feel free to take this picture to put on your blog and invite

as many friends as you like.

 

As I don't want this running too close to Christmas

I will close off sign ups this Sunday 21st September.

You will all receive a return email from me by Tuesday 22nd September.

You will need to have made your item and prepared

creative challenge update

 

Hello there, long time no see!

 

I thought I'd pop in and give a little update on the Creative Challenge.

 

We had 42 crafty people sign up and take on the challenge.

Each were sent an email with a picture and a colour.

Using these as inspiration they are creating something unique.

Some will be using paint, some will be sewing and

some will be gluing.

It is totally up to the individual.

There are no rules, no prizes and no wrong ways to do it.

 

It is just for fun!

 

The challenge finishes at the end of the month and

on the 1st of September I will add a linky thing here

and hopefully all the challengers will link here

to their blog posts showing you what they have done.

I'm really thrilled that so many joined in!

 

Stay tuned I think we are going to see some fabulous creations!

If there is enough interest there may be another challenge soon.

Horsey Princess from the Craft Forum designed a Creative Challenge . Pictures are drawn randomly as are colours . The idea is to design an item based on these two things . The picture that was chosen for me was this one and the colour PINK . Of course it is fairly obvious that I could just run up a GINGERBREAD MAN with pink ric rac or bows . I think I would like to try something a little beyond this although I am not ruling out my first idea as it really depends on time . This could be very interesting ..........
