off with the fairies

I'm often off with the fairies and the last few weeks
the poor fairies must be thinking they'll
never get rid of me !

I've been spending way too much time
on facebook and having a lot of fun
but I've also been working very hard lately too .

My new design for Sew It Together has
been finished , tested and printed .

I'm very close to finishing the pattern for a new bag
and there is a particular softie that I can't wait
to get started on .

Getting settled into a routine working from
home has had it's challenges but I'm really loving it .
Once I'm more organised I will be able
to do a bit more blogging and visiting as I have missed it .

In case you are wondering about the picture ,
this was a drawing my daughter did for me
when she was very small and
it was just crying out to be stitched .
The things poking out from the side of
her head are actually wings !
I hope to see you tomorrow for My Creative Space
I think there will be more fairies involved .

P.S. Thanks for yesterday xxx

I adore what you have done with your daughters drawing - how special is that!! Sounds like you are getting into the self employed groove Clare. I look forward to seeing the new designs.

Fairy's are important assistants when working alone.

I love the fairy! I love doing stitcheries of the girls' drawings - and my daughters love it too as they see their artwork come to life in whole new love.

Oh great work. See, this is why i steer clear from FB & delete all the messages, pokes & suggested likes as i can only stick to one medium, that is blogging. Love Posie

Im so glad you explained. I was wondering why that fairy had 4 ears.

The stitchery is beautiful and whimsical, capturing perfectly the perception of a child.

Now get back to facebook and working!

Hey Clare! It's a wonder we haven't bumped into each other while we were both visiting the faeries! Tee! Hee! Hee! They are such lovely friends to visit ... and sometimes you can come back with wonderful new ideas for creating ... like your stitchery made from your daughter's drawing - so sweet! :0) Hope the rest of your week is full of creativity! Bear Hugs! KRIS

I love the stitchery! I have been thinking about doing something like that with one of my sons drawings - except that would be a truck!

Of course they are wings growing out of the fairy's head. Just so cute.
Will drop by again tomorrow to check out your post.
