Another family treasure .
This weight was the doorstopper in the family
home when I was a kid .
It is now the doorstopper in my home .
I see my kids and husband casually slide it aside
with their foot and it takes me back
as I remember myself and my brothers and sisters
sliding it away years ago in exactly the same way .
Such a simple action brings back lovely memories .
I'd love to see your treasures but I
am away at the moment
so I might be able to visit but not leave a comment .
I have very cleverly scheduled this post to
pop up on Tuesday .
I hope I have anyway , am I here ?

I like the door stopper. I love it when I see my son doing something that I use to do when I was young. It really is a nice feeling.
Hi Clare,
Love the door stop. It's the right time of year to start using it again too. I've added my photo. My treasure today is retro....so am I! Have a great time away.

I kind of like the fact that your Tuesday's Treasures post pops up for me on Monday evening! It reminds me to get something together for tomorrow....

What a neat treasure - full of memories! Love it, I've never seen anything like it. And yes, you're here...but you're not...wait...I'm confused. *G*
Interesting...I've seen hundreds of doorstops but none like this!! Our front door one is two kitties with bells. Yours is cool though, and full of memories!!
That is totally cool!! Sorry i can't make it to Gundagai now, my husband's Nanna passed away, so we're off to a funeral. Sigh, next time - Snake Gully Cup - we're totally there in November, love Posie
Your door stopper is gorgeous. I've been to visit all the treasures today but blogger is not letting me comment very often.
Now that is a brilliant door stopper and how wonderful that it has passed down to your family.

Love the doorstop. It created a long wondering conversation as to how it was originally used?
