Yes crochet I'm sorry to say I had a fling .

I have no way of knowing how long it will last .

Crochet , you and I have been together for a very long time

 and produced many lovely blankets.

Was our relationship getting a bit stale?

                                                               Has it lost some of its zing?

                                         Maybe we were just spending too much time together.

I admit I was lured by something different .

Something just a little daring for me .

Not forbidden but a bit risky and adventurous.

It was all so new and exciting and I fell under its spell .

I'm sorry now I've done it , I may just do it again .

I'm a mother .

I love reading .

Button bookmarks are a great seller on Mother's Day stalls

happy anniversary to us

I've been married 20 years this week .

funnily enough so has my husband .

I made my wedding dress and never really liked it

but thought it a nice idea to frame the pattern I used .

I forgot about a bouquet and used wildflowers from the neighbours yards

and there is not one photo of my new husband and I together .

Lost my shoes at the reception , found them later.

Also forgot we actually needed to leave the reception .

Forgot to plan a honeymoon ..............one day .

But you know what , we are still together and happy and that's all that matters.

This is my 450th blog post so Happy Anniversary to me and my blog too!

It seems like I can stick to some things .

recycled solar lights

Yes I have a thing for solar lights

and not just at Christmas , all year .

I've had changing colour ones on stakes for a couple of years and

they get brittle and the plastic cracks and  they snap off their stakes.

But if they still work I can't bear to throw them out so

I worked out how I could recycle them .

All I did was cut some plastic water bottles to the size I wanted

and put some tracing paper around the inside.

Then just the top part of the broken lights  gets fitted to the top of the cut bottle.

As I have been doing a few of them I have recycled the remainder

of the bottle by punching a couple of holes in the lids and shoving

the bottle upside down in pot plants and filling them with

water so the plants get drip watered .

See you can be colourful while you're being green !

not according to plan

I was going to paint a heap of styrofoam eggs and then glitter them up

to have bowls of sparkly goodness around the house for Easter.

I pushed a skewer through them as it made them easier to paint.

There they were sitting up looking happy and pretty as they dried

so I tied a piece of ribbon onto them.

But you know with them all sitting in a jar looking very bright

and me being so very , very lazy ....

I've left them just as they are .
