Just checking, nope , still not a quilter !

Abbe from Copper Patch asked if some bloggers could give her a hand putting together a quilt for a friend of hers that isn't feeling well . All instructions were given for a simple block all that was asked was that our blocks be in purple colours .  Abbe didn't stop there she also posted a very clear step by step tutorial .
Cam from Curlypops had a bit of a chuckle at her blocks because she thought that weren't spot on , but honestly is there anything that Cam can't do ? Wait until poor Abbe sees my blocks she may want to make  them up into a bag to put the beautiful quilt in as otherwise if my blocks were included it may be a very wonky quilt !

All these lovely pink fabrics are being used in my new softie , aaahh now I'm in my comfort zone .
You will never , ever guess what my new softie is going to be mmmm obviously not another frog !

Poor Abbe could be tearing her hair out with all our wonky blocks! Atleast she will have plenty of purples to play with. Love your new softie fabrics - can't wait to see who is coming to play at your house.

Wonky quilts are my favorite - because they're the only kind I can do, lol! I think it looks fine, and it's straight from your heart, which is the bit that really counts. Can't wait to see what you're making!

They are great Clare!!! All of you 'non-patchy' girls are much better than you give yourselves credit for. The quilt will come together with a perfect amount of wonk to give it character :o)
Thanks for the help, the blocks are great.

Love a wonky block and a fabric stash! Spots, stripes and paisley? Hmmm... an owl? Unicorn? Bear?

Thats a very good wonky block Clare, just needs a bit of tugging and some spray starch.

My guess is that it is getting very close to Valentines day and you are going to make a sweet pink teddy.

Don't stress about the blocks, the quilt will go together just fine. I do like the idea of a quilt bag, I must remember that for leftovers next time.

Hi Clare, Nothing wrong with wonky, just ask Willy. LOL! Now, the new softie just has to be Barry!! Am I right Am I right??? LOL! LUUUUURRVE the fabrics. With a tad more green & blue it could be Barry!

Wonky is good, it adds character (that's my excuse anyway). The new softie is looking great already.

Hey, Robyn stole my words! Is it a lizard? Butterfly? Seahorse? Trying to think of what those fabrics might make...They're wonderful colour choices! I'm not a quilt expert either. If you were to present me with wonky blocks, I wouldn't know the difference! lol

Hi Claire, I'm just stopping by to say hi and thanks for visiting my blog (we do have some ric rac in our shop, by the way, and it's velvet!) Hmm, not a quilter? Don't you know that the quilter's secret motto is "Wonky is beautiful"? Well, that's my secret motto actually. I couldn't sew straight to save my life! Thanks again for coming by, love your blog too!
