I was meant to be making my daughters curtains .
The curtain rings who have sat patiently for so long
started to get a bit jittery .
They sparkled and winked at me and led me astray .
I thought I'd give Lola Novas tutorial a go.
The tutorial is clear and full of step by step photos .
I still couldn't get it right !
My flowers are bigger and floppier but that's ok .
I'm linking them together as I crochet and when
I'm finished I'll have a pretty string of flowers
but no curtains .

I love this idea and the colours you have chosen are gorgeous
Very pretty - and much more fun than making curtains.
Must give that tutorial a go.
I too get easily distracted lol
They look great though. Now get to those curtains lol =)
I can relate to your distraction. When you get lovely end results how can you resist! Who really needs curtains anyway.

They look so sweet! Maybe you could use them as a pretty trim along the top or tie-backs for the curtains.......when you get around to making them that is!
soooo cute Clare :-)
touch touch pat :p
Great to see I'm not alone in being easily lead astray by more exciting craft activities when there are sewing jobs that have to be done! I love your flower garland. It's going to look beautiful and who needs curtains anyway?
In Holland hardly anyone has curtains. They have a lot of flowers and more time for crocheted floppy versions. Cling to that.

Nice end result. You are so funny.
Well hey, the flowers are so pretty, who cares about curtains, lol! Lovely, Clare!
Would she consider a curtain made of beautiful crochet flowers?

Love your pretty crocheted curtain rings. You can make curtains anytime.
Oh too clever!! Are you going to make enough to be a curtain?? Tee hee, love Posie
Who needs curtains anyway when you can make these! :-)
this is something worth getting distracted about :)x
They are gorgeous!
What about shutters? ( that you wouldn't need to make them) and leave plenty of time for making more pretty thingsxo
so so pretty!
Too cute, I love what you have done, much more fun than making curtains
You DO like a challenge dont you?
Lovely!
yeah,
Do you think it may be because our version of a double crochet is different? I have had that too.
I think the crochet language loses something in translation across the seas.
I like yours better than the original---with no offense to Lola, of course!
Very pretty. I think I could even master those it was a good tutorial.
I just love crochet and this looks lovely.
