I'm working on a new design .

It has a lot of pink in it .

It's messing with my head .

my creative space

I was meant to be making my daughters curtains .

The curtain rings who have sat patiently for so long

started to get a bit jittery .

They sparkled and winked at me and led me astray .

I thought I'd give Lola Novas tutorial a go.

The tutorial is clear and full of step by step photos .

I still couldn't get it right !

My flowers are bigger and floppier but that's ok .

I'm linking them together as I crochet and when

I'm finished I'll have a pretty string of flowers

but no curtains .

Not a lot of crafting going on here at the moment

as it is still school holidays and we are still renovating .

under the carpet in my daughters room .

Besides the normal chaos at my house we

decided we needed just a little bit more .

instead of doing something productive

the old hankies have a new life and a winner

Thanks to your suggestions and the lady from Vinnies

I now have bunting !

I've always wanted some pretty bunting so using up some

 old hankies was the perfect opportunity to have a go

at making some .

I had to end up taking the photo inside as I picked

a very windy day to take photos outside but

they did look so pretty fluttering about

on my clothesline .

a bargain not to be sneezed at !

I popped into a nearby Vinnies store today

as always on the lookout for embroidered doilies .

One of the ladies who knows me thought I might

be interested in some hankies .

No one wants to buy old hankies love

we just usually throw them out .

I didn't really know how to take this ,

does the rare person who does buy old hankies

have a certain look or was it just the

way my eyes lit up when I saw these beauties .

Either way I think she felt justified that she

had labeled me an old hankie buyer

as I giggled and skipped out the door !

No I have no immediate plans for these but

I can't really be expected to think rationally

after all I'm only an old hankie buyer !

my socks are pulled up ....well sort of

 I'm getting there .

I'm writing this with an ache in my heart

and a tear in my eye but I know it must be done .

My mum was always so proud of my creative pursuits

and whenever I was published she would

ask for a signed copy of the magazine ,

I still find that just beautiful .

So with my greatest supporter watching over me

I will create , love and smile again .

I have a big year ahead and I think it

will be good for me to get back to work .

Lots and lots of new stuff coming !

Just don't be too surprised if you see a lot of green

in my projects this year as this was mums
