my creative space

I was meant to be making my daughters curtains .

The curtain rings who have sat patiently for so long
started to get a bit jittery .
They sparkled and winked at me and led me astray .
I thought I'd give Lola Novas tutorial a go.
The tutorial is clear and full of step by step photos .
I still couldn't get it right !

My flowers are bigger and floppier but that's ok .
I'm linking them together as I crochet and when
I'm finished I'll have a pretty string of flowers
but no curtains .

  4. I can relate to your distraction. When you get lovely end results how can you resist! Who really needs curtains anyway.

  5. They look so sweet! Maybe you could use them as a pretty trim along the top or tie-backs for the curtains.......when you get around to making them that is!

  7. Great to see I'm not alone in being easily lead astray by more exciting craft activities when there are sewing jobs that have to be done! I love your flower garland. It's going to look beautiful and who needs curtains anyway?

  8. In Holland hardly anyone has curtains. They have a lot of flowers and more time for crocheted floppy versions. Cling to that.

What about shutters? ( that you wouldn't need to make them) and leave plenty of time for making more pretty thingsxo

  20. yeah,

Do you think it may be because our version of a double crochet is different? I have had that too.

I think the crochet language loses something in translation across the seas.
