I came across these frames that I've had stashed in The Craftroom for quite some time .
Does that one sentence convey to to you the absolute mayhem in The Craftroom if I can just "come across" them and let's not start about the footstool and the rather large cutlery box that really need something done with , anyway .......
I had some beautiful fabric that I couldn't bear to cut (tragic I know) and thought I could frame it and then I could look at it anytime . I cleaned and painted the frames and put the fabric in and just secured it with a few stitches at the back . I replaced the glass to protect the fabric and this way if I do decide I want to sew it I can as it hasn't been stapled or cut . It also means I can change my work of arts anytime I want !
My little dog obviously approves too after a quick sniff , smart dog !

WOW! Love it! Such a fantastic idea and your fabric show pieces are just gorgeous..no wonder you want to frame them! Lisa
Brilliant!! Love the new look frames too. Brown is so awful looking but that white is amazing and picks up all the detail. Love your choice of fabrics too.
Incredible finds, love a good frame & reuse makeover. Love Posie
They look stunning! Great way to display your favourite prints. I'll have to keep an eye out for some frames now, a visit to my local tip shop is on the list for this weekend.

See you knew there was a reason for hiding such pretty frames in the craftroom. Hey enjoy your new works of art - my favourite has to be the apples.

wow...that looks awesome....very creative brain...
That's lovely - really love the pink roses!
What a great idea
Oh very pretty indeed and I soooo understand the need to look at pretty fabric without cutting it up, it is not tragic at all, just normal I say.
Great job!

What a wonderful thing to do! I just adore that bottom pink one. X
What a great idea and you are such a clever thing. Love the apple fabric and I to have fabric that I don't want to cut as well, so old frames here I come.
Hugs Bec
A really fabulous idea! I love the idea of painting old frames white, I had never thought of that. Plus being able to change the fabric, seems much better than stapling them on to a canvas.
I love the white frames (how different they look!), and now you can appreciate your pretty fabric -i love it!
Those frames are just gorgeous and how different they look in white. I love the idea of using the material as the picture, you are very clever. Kind regards, Anita.

What a difference a coat of paint makes - the frames look so pretty painted. I think using fabric as "art" is a great idea.
What a fun idea! I have lots of fabric I can't bear to cut into -- not enough wall space LOL! Thanks for your visit to my blog -- if only I lived next to you -- I'd be there in a minute and I probably wouldn't have to trudge through snow to do it! ;-)
Instant art!!!! What a great idea.
I love this idea! How pretty yours are! Thanks for sharing.
Have a great day!

The glossy white frames show case the fabric beautifully - great way to display favourite prints.
Well done on the magazine profile!
Gorgeous. Would you believe I have a stash of frames to do exactly that with but have never got around to it. Yours look fabulous and the best thing is if you get tired of one design, or change your decor you can just change the fabric over.
such a clever idea, look really wodnerful and such a nice way of showing off some favourite fabric.
Simply gorgeous! The white looks amazing and the details of these old frames are so old worldly.. Just like the cornice of an old house. Love it. Thanks also for dropping by my blog. Elizabeth X
