doily makeover


I picked out the doilies that were stained .


I cut them .


I framed them .


I added a little zing with some vintage buttons
bought from The Button Bower  ,
no relation to me I promise .
I will eventually have these displayed in The Craftroom .
It's nice to give some old doilies new life .
Pretty ?

    Today as I was cleaning out some of my mother's things a found a huge pile of doilies and hankies and tableclothes.

    Might have to pinch this idea for some of my stash.

  15. OOOh My GOOOsh , what a terrific idea. The stitcheries look beautiful in the frames.I have many of my mothers stitches & how nice to do that for a rememberance of her. Can I steal your idea??/ PLEASE.?? A creative lady you are!!! Blessings: Dianne..

  19. Brilliant! I was given a whole lot of doilies from my SIL when her mother moved into the nursing home. I've been making some sewing caddies with them, but I love this idea - it will pretty up my sewing room. Where did you get the frames too please - they really add to whole look?
