I like old keys , the new , sleek ones have nothing on these.
As The Craftroom has been flooded a few times recently
I thought it might be wise to get a few things off
the floor and hanging out of harms way .
I strung a heap of keys to a hoop and it is
now tinkling from the ceiling .
Do you have any idea how hard it was trying
to take a decent photo !
You'll just have to take my word for it that
it really is beautiful .

PS . I had a few enquiries about the white frames
in my last post . They aren't even wood they are
a cheap plasticy kind that I bought from
one of those $2 shops .
You know what - I'm getting you. I reckon they'd do splendiferous reflective things in the light and cast beautiful shadows...
ReplyDeleteOh, so very Alice in Wonderland!! Love it :-)

Looks like you are having fun creating new ways to decorate your space....love your creativity!
ReplyDeleteI too love keys.
ReplyDeleteThere is something magical about old keys. Reminds me of the book "The secret garden"
Love the idea of how you have hung them
I LOVE this idea - I'm going to have my mom pull out all her old keys, and make her one! She has some that belonged to my grandfather!
ReplyDeleteKeys are certainly not as attractive a they used to be. Thay all loook the same now. Lovely idea to hang them up, unusual wind chime.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed i think we may have been made from the same mold (not mould..not the green yucky stuff..you know what I mean). I adore keys also and I love the way you have hung them up...I need more space I need to go up!
ReplyDeleteLove the little heart topped key.
Have a lovely day,
Kiss Noises Linda
I love old keys. It reminds me of my Nan's house whan I was a kid. Lovely idea!
ReplyDeleteI have a "thing" for old keys too...go figure..love the white frames too clare..very clever..
ReplyDeleteLove the keys Clare - particularly the one with the little love heart shape at the top. what a great idea hanging them like that ;)
ReplyDeleteTrish.
That is beautiful. New fangled keys certainly don't have that sort of character! We have a balcony door with a lock that is almost impossible to open but I won't let the Mr fix it as I like the key too much.
ReplyDeleteHi Clare you have the right flare
ReplyDeletewish i had a brain like yours
cheers
your key mobiles are just fab!! I'm sooo with you on the old keys vs the new ones.
ReplyDeleteAnd also totally with you on the photo issue, I find sometimes things and with me some bear photograph better than others, whereas others just aren't photogenic! xo
Love old keys too. I am sure they look fantastic. Those frames really look like the old vintage kind.
ReplyDeleteWhat a mysterious, old world charm quality those keys have :) I *love* your softies patterns, Toby and the frog are gorgeous! Tks for popping by. Can we use your patterns to make up the goodies for sale thru our own shops?
ReplyDeleteI don't need to take your word for it ... I can see how beautiful it looks. Fantastic idea - truly inspired :)
ReplyDeleteLovely idea! I might just have to make one!
ReplyDeleteHello beautiful girl!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE those keys, sweetheart. They don't make them like they used to eh? It's a lovely shot Clare, and I bet they look even more gorgeous in real life!!! :-)
Hugs!!!! Vikki xox :-)
