I love marbles !
They are just so , you know , so shiny !
I've been collecting mine for a long time now
and found the sugar jar perfect to display them in .
When I started collecting them I made myself a rule
that if I wanted to gather them I must find them or be given them .
I cannot buy them .
It always makes my day when I find a marble as
most days I feel like I'm losing mine.
Add your link and play along !
Marbles are so cheerful. Your old jar shows them off beautifully. I have a jar of them from my childhood on show in an old jar on our bookshelves too.
ReplyDeleteGee I use to love playing marbles...love your little treasures Clare..
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I used to have a big box of marbles when I was young....I wonder where they went...?
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you've either found (cool!) or been given these makes them all the more special! Next marble I come across that I find (wether out and about or in a cupboard somewhere in teh house) I'll keep aside for you!!
What a neat treasure! Do you find many marbles these days?
ReplyDeleteOoh maybe I collect marbles because I am losing mine. :o)
ReplyDeleteYour marbles in the jar are super fun. Does it count if I only buy unique ones that I find in specialty stores? LOL Happy collecting...

I used to love marbles when I was a young girl, especially beating the boys!
ReplyDeleteI think some of my marbles could be in there. Im loosing mine all the time. Great idea isnt it amazing what you can find.
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant idea and they look spectacular in the jar. I love that you haven't bought any. I will think of you every time I see marbles now!!
ReplyDeleteLove the marbles, my Grandparents lived in a bungalow with a sort of concrete gutter along the path all the way around it, my sisters and I used to think it was great for playing marbles in !
ReplyDeleteAh, memories of the marble games in the dirt under the big tree at primary school! I still have my bag of marbles to.
ReplyDeleteFinally got around to getting my act together. !!!!
ReplyDeleteYou would have a field day at our house! They're everywhere!!! Maybe if I had the same idea as you and treated them as treasure and in a lovely jar they wouldn't be scattered around waiting to be trodden on or worse still knelt on! Ouch! Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI'm off to check this Tuesdays Treasures Thingy out. X
Since half my life is packed up in boxes at the moment and I have no idea where the other half of my stuff actually is because it's hidden by the boxes...I really hope you keep this going so that if at some point the boxes get unpacked and I can see the rest of my things I can play along!
