We lost power again the other night
so we had a barbie for tea .
I was having craft withdrawals
and was determined to craft something , anything !
Of course I think it is perfectly normal to boil up
old knitting needles on one burner as
the steak is cooking on the other hotplate .
My needle bangles were not as successful as I'd hoped
but sometimes crafters get really desperate !
Wow. I love how your brain works. As for the bangles....well....;)
ReplyDeleteWOW,worth thinking about a bit more. With a few beads on them might be a trend. Charmaine
ReplyDeleteFour or five of those on the arm would look quite good I think Clare...the good old barbie, what would we do without them...
ReplyDeleteI hope it satisfied your creative urge for the evening though?! Cherrie
ReplyDeleteT think they are quite cute. You'd have to be careful with the pointy end, unless you were hugging someone you didn't like.
ReplyDeleteWhat about threading some big chunky bells and ribbon or bow and hang them as Xmas decorations!Very creative by the way!
ReplyDeleteDon't give up, maybe the pointiness could be tamed.
ReplyDeleteI thought at first view you were trying out a new method of knitting in the round! Is there a way of affixing a bead to the pointy end so the end doesn't go all the way through?
ReplyDeleteLol, well I reckon that's innovative... you hafta try :-)
ReplyDeletethey look lovely, hope it has stoped raining, we have had a very wet and windy day here not nice
ReplyDeletetake care clare love my gifts so far
cheers

Can you tell where my headspace is? I read that so quickly that I had visions of you all eating a BARBIE DOLL for tea because you couldn't find anything else! LOL. I've really got to stop looking in those toy catalogues!!!
ReplyDeleteHow about napkin rings, for those cute knitting needle bangles? You're too funny sweetie!!! :-) Love your enthusiasm!!!!
Hugs darlin'!
Vikki xoxo ;-)

ReplyDeleteThe bangles seems too pretty, I really appreciate your hard work, lots of creativity to see every week, thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteThey look alright Clare, just don't stab anyone with them OK?
ReplyDeleteWe do get desperate now and again, hope you are dry?
You really thought outside the square when you came up with these bangles. What a clever idea!
ReplyDeleteHow is it not normal to cook up knitting needles while the steak is sizzling? *LOL*
ReplyDeleteSuch a neat concept I am sure you are on the right track...that is how all new ideas come about. Thanks for sharing .
ReplyDeleteThat is definately something I do as I am cooking dinner too! (Just not the knitting needle bangles) they are so cute - I have never seen or heard of them! xo
ReplyDeleteAt the first sight I thought you were on to show us something new and creative. Whatever it might be, we ultimately landed up with a useful thing. Thanks for sharing this post.
