Coconut Ice

I love this soft chenille and thought I'd crochet
it in granny squares for a lovely soft blanket .
It was very cheap wool and dreadful
to work with and it kept breaking .
Admitedly I am not an expert crocheter
but the squares all ended up looking like
they had breasts .
So I took them apart and started on a scarf .
By now I'd gotten the hang of the cheap wool
and my scarf grew .
And then I liked that it was a bit bigger and
soft on my lap so I kept going .

Finally this is what I ended up with
and my daughter has claimed it .
She also said how nice her room looked
in the photo .
Don't worry I set her straight and let
her know all about cropping photos .

    So it was destined to be a blanket all along and it does look lovely on the bed. Wow is there nothing you can't do, clever Clare.

    Lol, 'grew'?? Went forth and multiplied...must be all the rain we're having. he The blanket looks great and the photo cropping tool is probably the most used on my computer!

    ok that is one massive scarf! but i bet it' lovely and soft to be under. your daughter's bedroom looks much better than mine - no amount of cropping would make her room look good!! lol

    Atleast October is the month for pink and breast cancer awareness.

    Crikey!! How fast can you crochet? Lovely colour wool and cheap wool can be a challenge but sometimes I can not justify expensive wool unless I am very sure about what I am doing. I also have a basket like that but mine is a wooden colour, so snap!
