On second thoughts maybe you shouldn't sit here
as you'll cover up the only craftiness
I've managed lately .
You know how it is family , house , work , it all
takes time and craftiness just for the pleasure
of it somehow just needs to be crammed
in between somewhere .
This is why I decided to cover this old chair
as the vegetables were cooking last night .
Ooh you may be thinking that must look
lovely in Clare's shabby chic designer bedroom
that of course must be immaculate .
Well I hate to disappoint you but my bedroom
is an absolute disaster and this beautiful chair
is just a spare kitchen chair for.....
the cats !
And it is a gorgeous throne for any pampered puss cat - Looks great.

ReplyDeleteWow Clare - it's too gorgeous - you have some awfully spoiled kitties!
ReplyDeleteLucky cats! I'm making sure Herself Jindi the Kelpie doesn't peek over my shoulder as I read your blog...she'll be wanting me to recover the couch (that she isn't allowed to sit) just for her!! It is a very pretty chair now.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabric for a beautiful old chair Clare. I hope those cats appreciate such craftiness!!

I'd be making sure they wiped their paws and groomed out the loose hair before they sat on that pretty chair :)!
ReplyDeleteEven cats have to have somewhere pretty to sit and covering a chair takes a lot less time than other forms of crafting. I know- Ive recovered many many chairs.
ReplyDeleteIt looks catalicious Clare. Brilliant do over!
You did a fabulous job, I love your fabric choice.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty chair - lucky cats!
ReplyDeleteWow, your chair looks amazing, love the fabric with the white paint.

Have a delicious day!
Lovely! ☺
ReplyDeletePS...I haven't made my bed in over a week...even though my kids are required to make theirs up every day. Wouldn't want them to develop my nasty habit. ;o)
Hi Claire,
ReplyDeleteSeems like we all need more hours in our days!

I hear you! It's a case of grabbing any spare second around here too. But the chair does look gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteITs beautiful Claire. I'm trying to get the courage up to cover a stool, I'm not sure where to start.
