have a seat

On second thoughts maybe you shouldn't sit here
as you'll cover up the only craftiness
I've managed lately .

You know how it is family , house , work , it all
takes time and craftiness just for the pleasure
of it somehow just needs to be crammed
in between somewhere .
This is why I decided to cover this old chair
as the vegetables were cooking last night .

Ooh you may be thinking that must look
lovely in Clare's shabby chic designer bedroom
that of course must be immaculate .

Well I hate to disappoint you but my bedroom
is an absolute disaster and this beautiful chair
is just a spare kitchen chair for.....
the cats !

  4. Lucky cats! I'm making sure Herself Jindi the Kelpie doesn't peek over my shoulder as I read your blog...she'll be wanting me to recover the couch (that she isn't allowed to sit) just for her!! It is a very pretty chair now.

  11. Even cats have to have somewhere pretty to sit and covering a chair takes a lot less time than other forms of crafting. I know- Ive recovered many many chairs.

It looks catalicious Clare. Brilliant do over!

  14. Lovely! ☺

PS...I haven't made my bed in over a week...even though my kids are required to make theirs up every day. Wouldn't want them to develop my nasty habit. ;o)
