I don't know that this is really a treasure
so much as a coincidence .
Many years ago we were given this tin of biscuits
by my husbands auntie who has since passed away
this year at the age of 93.
Almost 15 years ago I was co-ordinator of
the local playgroup and took this tin , empty of course ,
to have as a collection tin for funds etc .
My kids are in highschool now and
I had never given this tin another thought until
my son arrived home from a youth council meeting
where he was elected treasurer .
While he was at the meeting local council
members asked him to make a point of showing
his treasurers tin to his mum .
Yes , same tin !
Join in and show us your treasures !
That is such a sweet story and such a cute tin.
ReplyDeleteLove the tin and the story. Charmaine

What a lovely treasure Clare. That kitten is sooooooo cute! We used to have one similar when I was young. We kept our lego in it.
ReplyDeleteLove the story! I am assuming one of the council members remembered the tin came from you in the first place.

LOL - I think it's a treasure AND a coincidence! It's darling!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blast!!
ReplyDeleteThe kitty tin is obviously doing it's job well to still be around!
ReplyDeleteLol, there's always a core group of people who are in councils, community groups etc like a big family. I bet there were a few cat fanciers who admired your "treasure tin" when you were co-ordinating playgroup and it amused them that your son chose the same tin, unknowingly. Nice of them to want to share their amusement with you :). It IS a nice tin, though.
ReplyDeleteIt's a boomerang tin! Great story.

ReplyDeleteLovely story! Lovely picture on the tin too, do not seem to get biscuit tins that attractive anymore.
ReplyDeleteReally a fantastic name give to the tin- Treasure. This tin bears a lot of memories and hence it was rightly compared as a treasure. It is indeed a treasure of memories. Thanks for the post.
