Another treasure that I have no idea how I came by
all I know is I have had for such a long time .
If you are thinking , Clare's place must have a lot of junk , you'd be right !
This ceramic house must have been used as a cover for maybe butter at one stage .
Now it sits in my cabinet with all my other junk treasures .
I have never been interested in travelling overseas
and these days a night out is a rarity .
I am a real homebody and am very happy
to be at home with my crazy little family .
My house is not fancy in any way but it is full of love .
This little piece represents what I love most , my home .
Come and play .
It is gorgeous Clare.
ReplyDeleteI am with you. Things don't have to be fancy to be a treasure they have to have love in them.
That is a cute house and I love what it symbolises for you ..... home is definitely where the heart is..... Hugz

A homebody, we call it Huismus in Dutch and that's what I am too.
ReplyDeleteAnd I like your treasure.
It's cute.
Hi Clare,
ReplyDeleteI love your ceramic house. Reminds me of some of my treasures around my house. Maybe I should join. I love idea of Tuesday Treasures too. Have a great Tuesday, Clare.
What a little treasure. I'm with you in that the mimimalist look is definitely not for me. It's the little treasures that make it a home.
ReplyDeleteYou know there's no place like home....Sweet little house treasure.
ReplyDeleteYou're little house is sooooo cute.
ReplyDeleteNo that one is a treasure Clare...you home sounds a bit like mine...
ReplyDeleteI love your house Clare, and what it means! My house is like that too! xx
ReplyDeleteOh Clare it's so sweet - I'm a homebody too, I love having my treasures around me, who needs to go anywhere when everything you love [that includes people] is at home!
ReplyDeleteClare----I love the treasure of today. The house is beautiful. Your house sounds great.:)
ReplyDeleteYour home and way of being happy and content sound very familiar to me:)
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a cute house. My mum has something similar but she is not ready to share yet!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet and I also like what it symbolizes for you ,Home is indeed where the heart is !
ReplyDeleteYour Right they were used to cover Butter..My Nan had one just like it & I am sorry now that I didn't get it when she passed away...there are other items that match it...they are Treasures not Junk..
ReplyDeletecheers
Hello Clare,
ReplyDeleteI saw on a Dutch blog the Tuesday treasures and I liked it. So know I join the club.
Yay, I remembered!!! Thanks to Peg, that is - I would not have remembered without her!
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother had 2 of the house biscuit barrels, they were chipped. When she downsized her house she threw them out. Without telling anyone. Every time I go to an antique store I look at them. They are either not there or really over priced. You are so lucky. I look at that and think of my childhood and wish wish wish I had one! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet little house! And you were right to cross out junk and write treasures. I have not seen one piece of 'junk' in your Tuesday's Treasures!
ReplyDeleteI haven't really found anything to take part with yet...we have moved more than a dozen times since we were married 11 years ago and this means that with every move there is usually a big clean out to minimize the amount we have to move. It is kind of sad actually. I'm hoping that when we finally own a house of our own I can start collecting lots of treasures too.
Lovely sentiments Clare. Sorry I didn't get to participate in Tuesday's Treasures this week - just been one of those 'icky' weeks.
ReplyDeleteHugs ~ Kerryanne
My house is full of junk....uh, treasures, too. I just adore certain things and enjoy having them around. I spose one day I'll have to decide which ones NEED to go and which ones I simply acn't bare to part with!
ReplyDeleteLove your little cabin top, so sweet, and such a good reminder to treasure not our possessions in the ouse, but the home we have made it into.
Love!!
I have the set of those houses things, they belonged to my great grandmother, there is a house and pie dish, milk jug, cheese dish, and a few other bits...
