I love ric rac !

Of course I love Jodie's blog Ric Rac but I also love fabric ric rac .
I collect it as if my life depends on it and I have lots !
What was I supposed to do when my local craft store is closing down and had ric rac half price ....
As you can see I bought a little bit after I dropped the kids at school today . I wasn't expecting to stop anywhere on the way home so I didn't have much money but I foraged around the bottom of my bag and all through the car scratching up what coins I could find .
My heart had little flutters when the owner gave me the ends of the roll 'cause it wasn't worth measuring .
This is what I bought to add to my supply I already have .
I have more than enough now , I have plenty , I don't need anymore .
I'm going back tomorrow .

I wish I could find a way to answer the commments left on my blog..anyway...re the framing on my blocks of the quilt Im doing.. it is interesting isnt it?? Ive never seen that used before. Honestly if it didnt have it the quilt would be boring..it is boring enough...hence why I have to embellish it.. Im in the middle of trying to quilt it and I carnt find the darning foot for my machine grrrrr!!
Now re: you... Im looking forward to seeing some of you lovely creations with that ric rac....

  5. Oh my! Clare! how much do you HAVE! What are you going to use it for? You'll have to show me what you're using it for cause I've got heaps too and don't have anything to use it on! lol Maybe you could do up some old jam bottles and place the ric rac in it according to colour? That would look sooooo good! And a little of the colour around the top of the lid! Ooh! I'm giving myself ideas! Come enter my giveaway!

  22. You have a lovely selection of ric rac! I too love ric rac, especially vintage. The choice of colours are what I like about it too. I like the flowery lilac and white one that I can see in your basket, pretty and unusual.

I love the really wide stuff. SIGH! What a shame I don't live closer to you, cos I'd be accompanying you on your return trip ... which I can TOTALLY understand you needing! :0) Have fun!! Bear Hugs!
